Parents and children
By Thor Brickman
Freedom, of all things, is hardest to achieve and easiest to
lose.
The Internet has the face of a new age, a child born of a
multitude of parents, and like a child it will grow into the
words and actions of those parents.
We, the people of this new space, are also it's parents. The
items and moments of our interaction in this medium will shape
the future of our child and it will in turn shape the future of
our children.
This, then, are my words for that future -
Though I abhor everything you stand for, though I disagree with
every word, though I shudder at your future and cry for the pain
you cause, I would still die for your right to believe what you
want and say what you believe in the hopes our children will
understand each other when we could not.
Stand and be counted or kneel forever.
Thor Brickman
